Shades of grey & Positive Vibes

I'm not quite sure what it is, but this seasons makes me wear grey a lot, lol. I probably need a holiday to get to enjoy some colourful clothes in the sun - and I'll be going soon! But for now I'm trying to cope with this cold UK weather (which is not easy, btw). You never know what to wear until you actually leave the house. When I stand on the balcony I always feel like it's not that cold but as soon as I step out and feel the cold wind, I rather would want to go back and change, which I usually can't do or else I'll be late for work, haha. But yeah I'm sure you know what I mean. Grey is a lot of people's favourite this season and so is mine, grey all day everyday, and it fits with everything!

Grey can also have an impact on your mood in these grey winter days. People wanna stay in the house, are demotivated and just can't be bothered to do anything. Some people even suffer from the typical winter blues. A lot of people suffer from it and it's just a sign that people don't like dark and negative things. “It’s thought that SAD sufferers are affected by shorter daylight hours in the winter. They produce higher melatonin, causing lethargy and symptoms of depression.” It's not a nice thing but I always try to be positive, no matter which season it is. We can't let this have an impact on our life though. We chose to live in a country like this with long winter days, it's dark when you leave the house in the morning and it's dark when you get back home. I know it sounds rough but we have to deal with it, even better: Embrace it! Winter has soooo many advantages and beautiful sides. Beautiful sundowns, snow and fresh air, the beautiful Christmas time, the lights decorated everywhere in the streets and great winter sales ;).. Even the little things like looking forward to wear your comfy winter clothes. Appreciate the little things and stay positive!
Rise and shine, get up and make every day your day!

Love, Drea
